Recently Global Drone Surveys was contacted by a surveyor working on behalf of the National Waterways Museum, Gloucester.

Last Sunday saw a team from GDS complete a full roof inspection to the Llanthony warehouse, home of the National Waterways Museum in the beautiful Gloucester Quays. The roof area has no access points and the warehouse is flanked on 2 sides by waterways. This meant that the use of mobile work platforms was not an option, and the erection of scaffolding proved costly.

Our aerial systems were able to provide high resolution imagery of the complete roof area which included multiple pitches and a central skylight gutter section to the surveyor within hours of being on site.

The resulting imagery will now be used to identify areas of remedial and reactive maintenance.
